West Ham set to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Serie A side Sassuolo

West Ham United are now set to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca this summer.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the move will go through tomorrow and the move will be a record sale for the Neroverdi. West Ham will pay a fee of €36 million plus bonuses of €6 million but Sassuolo will have a sell-on clause of 10 percent in the player’s contract.

The final details of the move will be sorted out tomorrow as the documents and neccessary papers will be exchanged by the two clubs.

West Ham’s interest in Scamacca had become strong in recent days, as Paris Saint-Germain failed to close the move for the striker. Arsenal also had a bid rejected for him but West Ham have now sealed the signing after doing some good work in the last few days.

Scamacca scored 16 Serie A goals for Sassuolo last season, also attracting interest from Serie A sides.
