Agent Rafaela Pimenta opens up about Lazar Samardzic’s failed transfer to Inter

Several days following to the collapse of the transfer of Udinese star midfielder Lazar Samardzic to Inter, high-profile agent Rafaela Pimenta revealed her side to the dramatic event.

Despite the medicals having been completed and Udinese providing the green light to let the 21 year-old join the Nerazzurri, the Milanese club have ultimately decided to pull the plug on the acquisition as father Miaden Samardzic presented new details that were vastly different from the terms agreed on the deal that was mediated by Pimenta, which Inter firmly refused to pursue.

As it stands, the Serbian international has featured in the Zebrette’s first match of the season, but his future still remains uncertain as Serie A giants Juventus and Lazio remain on his trail.

While speaking to the media, via FcInter1908, Pimenta touched upon her perspective of the situation regarding Samardzic’s move to Inter entirely caving in at the final stages:

“I am sorry that Samardzic’s father justified his decisions with these arguments. For me, the facts speak for themselves. From the meeting with him and his wife together with Kolarov in my office in Montecarlo, to the many calls made together with the various clubs, to his request addressed to Udinese to speak directly with me.

“And again: our appointment together at the Inter headquarters, the ok given to Inter, the toasts with him and his wife in a hotel in Milan, the video call with the son to organize the medical visits, the arrival of other family members and the cameraman for the video shooting. After all this, the father made requests that I did not share in substance and form and at that moment I decided to act as part.”
