Ángel Di María edging close to Juventus exit

There is now an increasing possibility of Argentine star Ángel Di María leaving Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Di María had joined Juve on a free transfer after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain had expired in the summer transfer window. He was initially close to moving to South America but Juve managed to convince him to stay in Europe. There was talk that Juve could extend his stay in Turin for another season.

Sky Italia now state that the opposite is likely to happen, with Di María edging close to the exit door. The Bianconeri want to build for the future and this means that Di María’s contract will not be renewed and he will allowed to exit. The club also believe that his performance aren’t enough for how much he earns in his current contract.

The 35-year-old has suffered from a fair share of injuries this season but he has contributed to eight league goals, scoring four times in the Europa League.
