Former Tottenham Hotspur and Inter boss Antonio Conte would be keen on a move to Napoli this summer, with the Partenopei interested in the Italian.
Aurelio de Laurentiis recently admitted that things aren’t right between him and Napoli boss Rudi Garcia, but he is willing to give him some time and won’t make a kneejerk reaction. Earlier today, Conte was linked with a move to the club.
Daniele Longo has reported that Garcia has been left disheartened about the situation at Napoli, with Conte someone that interests De Laurentiis a lot. The ex-Spurs boss was of interest even before Garcia was appointed but a move didn’t materialise.
Conte presents a dream scenario for De Laurentiis, who also likes Igor Tudor and the ex-Marseille boss would most definitely be interested in managing Napoli. The same is the case for Conte, who wants to get back into management as soon as possible. It is also reported that Conte has the willingness to have a meeting with the Napoli management to understand more about the Napoli project and potentially agree on some aspects.
It remains to be seen how this situation evolves, but Conte remains a concrete target.
