Appeal launched to strip Juventus off 2018/19 Serie A title

An appeal has been launched to make sure that the 2018/19 Serie A title is handed to Napoli and Juventus get stripped off the Scudetto for that season.

ANSA claim that Codacons – a consumer protection agency and a Napoli fan club called Associazione Club Napoli Maradona, have launched an appeal to the TAR tribunal, stating that Juve ‘altered the regularity of the 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns’ in Serie A – as is perhaps evident due to their ongoing capital gains and Prisma cases.

The text of the appeal also reads that action should be taken against Juventus for their misadventures in the 2018/19 season and the Scudetto should be handed to the Partenopei. According to the two entities, the evidence that has emerged from the capital gains case and the Prisma investigation should be enough to strip Juve off the title.

The lawyers that are representing the two entities are Enrico Lubrano, Oreste Pallotta, Carlo Claps and Angelo Pisani. The latter, in particular, is best known for having been the personal lawyer of Diego Armando Maradona.
