Arsenal make enquiry about Juventus’ Weston McKennie

Arsenal are interested in Juventus’ Weston McKennie and have made an initial enquiry about the American midfielder.

Giovanni Albanese has reported about the situation of the ex-Schalke man, stating that Arsenal have made an enquiry about McKennie through his agents recently and they are interested in the player. There is a possibility that the initial enquiry leads to something more concrete.

Juventus seem willing to negotiate and potentially sell McKennie for around €20 million to €25 million plus bonuses. Other offers did come in for the player, who was not interested in approaches made by Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Fulham.

Borussia Dortmund remain interested in McKennie but have not made any offers and Monaco were interested in him last summer. If McKennie ends up leaving, signing Ivan Fresneda could become a concrete idea for the Bianconeri.

McKennie has been playing at wing-back for Juve in recent games, which shows his versatility as a player.
