Aston Villa and Freiburg make enquiry for Leeds’ Wilfried Gnonto

Wilfried Gnonte has attracted interest from multiple clubs. The Italian youngster is set to leave Leeds United, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

The 19-year-old attacker will leave Leeds, according to Alfredo Pedullà. The Italian transfer expert says Everton took some important steps towards bringing Gnonto in, who, because of his big price tag, has a small chance of playing in the Italian top flight. Both Aston Villa and German club Freibug have asked information for the former Inter player. Gnonto should cost around €25M.

Gnonto joined Leeds in September. He scored 2 goals and assisted 4 times in 24 Premier League appearances. Nonetheless, Leeds finished 19th and were relegated to the Championship. Gnonto also wore the jersey of the National Team this summer. In the Nations League match against the Netherlands (2-3), he assisted, while he scored once at the U21 European Championship. However, Italy did not manage to get past the group stages at the tournament.
