Aston Villa join Juventus in Pau Torres race

Premier League side Aston Villa are interested in Villarreal’s Pau Torres, with Juventus also keen on the Spain international.

Marco Conterio has reported about the future of Torres, who is expected to depart the Yellow Submarines this summer. It is stated that Juventus certainly value him as a target but Villarrreal’s asking price of about €30 million is expected to too much for the Bianconeri this summer.

The Premier League, as a result, could be a favourable destination for the defender and Aston Villa are interested in him, with Unai Emery having coached him at Villarreal in the past. 

Another option in Serie A could be Napoli, who are keeping tabs on Torres and could look at the 26-year-old, if Kim Min-Jae does depart the Partenopei this summer. As things stand, the most likely destination looks to be the Premier League, with Manchester United and Manchester City having been previously linked with a move for him too.

Torres has made 30 La Liga appearances this season, having played 169 times in total after coming through the club’s youth academy.
