Atalanta hold key meeting for Manchester United target Rasmus Højlund

Atalanta have held an internal meeting to consider the sale of Rasmus Højlund to Premier League club Manchester United.

According to a tweet by Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta officials have held a key meeting with manager Gian Piero Gasperini last night regarding the situation of Rasmus Højlund.

Manchester United have registered an official interest in signing the Danish striker and negotiations are expected to be initiated soon.

La Dea want €60 million and bonuses of about €8 million to €10 million for the player and United are set to present an initial offer of around €55 million including bonuses. Gasperini has communicated to his club to sell Højlund in the next ten days so that he gets adequate time to replace him.

The 20-year-old already has agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants as they have offered the striker six or seven times what he currently earns at Atalanta, about €600k per season.
