Atalanta in hurry to sell Rasmus Højlund as Manchester United consider new offer

Serie A side Atalanta are looking to make sure that Rasmus Højlund’s future at the club is resolved quickly, amidst interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils have now shifted their attention to the striker, now that they have sealed their move for Andre Onana. Alfredo Pedulla has reported that United intent to increase their offer for the Danish starlet once again, as Atalanta want €60 million and bonuses of about €8 million to €10 million for the player.

United’s offer could be at €55 million including bonuses but now, La Dea want the situation of the 20-year-old to be solved quickly as they don’t want to be short of time to replace him. Gian Piero Gasperini too wants the sale to be done quickly, so that he can be replaced and La Dea can get on with their preparations for next season.

United do have alternatives in mind but the Dane is at the top of the shortlist. He already has an agreement over personal terms with United, who will offer him seven or times of his current Atalanta wage, as he earns only €600k per season. Erik ten Hag’s side could first complete a sale, as that will make it easier for them to sign the striker.
