Atletico Madrid also interested in Milan target Daichi Kamada

Daichi Kamada and Milan have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for the player to become a Rossoneri from next season, amidst interest from Atletico Madrid.

According to a report from Daniele Longo, Milan sporting director Frederic Massara has already agreed personal terms with the entourage of Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada. The Japanese international is set to earn around €3 million per season with a multi-year contract.

The Rossoneri are expected to undergo a big shuffling of their squad for the upcoming season and due to the potential departure of many players, they are set to fill up those gaps with low-cost signings. Kamada’s contract with his Bundesliga club is set to expire next month and that is why he was free to join any club without a transfer fee.

With the 27-year-old showing a clear intention to play for Milan, Massara took the opportunity and signed him due to his versatile nature.

Atletico Madrid. Benfica and Borussia Dortmund are already in the race to sign the player and Massara needs to make one final push to bring Kamada to Italy.
