Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel holding up Interโ€™s move for Benjamin Pavard

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is one of the key reasons for why Interโ€™s move for Benjamin Pavard hasnโ€™t gone through yet.

Pavardโ€™s move to the Nerazzurri hinges on Bayern signing a replacement and La Gazzetta dello Sport have provided some details about the situation, stating that the German wants a โ€˜top defenderโ€™ to replace the Frenchman and has spoken to Pavard about potentially staying in Bavaria for another season despite the fact that the 27-year-old is in the last year of his contract. As of now, Bayern are blocking the exit as they have no replacement in hand.

Interโ€™s patience, it is stated, is not infinite. They will not wait for Bayern to unblock the move on deadline day, even though personal terms are already in place and a five-year deal is ready for the defender. If Bayernโ€™s approval doesnโ€™t arrive in the next few days, Inter will move on and look at other options.
