Inter have reached a verbal agreement with Sassuolo for Davide Frattesi. The Nerazzurri seem to have beaten multiple other Italian teams.
Davide Frattesi remains a hot topic on the transfer market. Both Milanese teams, Inter and Milan, have met with Sassuolo to put an offer on the table. However, Inter seem to be on the winning hand. The Nerazzurri have reached a verbal agreement with Sassuolo and want to close the deal today or tomorrow, Gianluca di Marzio reports.
Multiple Italians teams have been linked to Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi in recent weeks. Inter, Milan, Roma and Juventus have all reportedly shown interest in the 23-year-old. According to Di Marzio, both Inter and Milan have met with Sassuolo to discuss a possible deal for the midfielder valued at €40M by Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali. On Monday, it was Inter’s turn to speak with the Neroverdi, while today, on Tuesday, Milan are talking figures with Sassuolo. Transfer expert Di Marzio adds that at the end of this day, it will be more clear which of the two offers satisfies both player and club more. Finally, Di Marzio said that Inter could close the deal today or tomorrow, even though Milan joined the race. In the end, Inter seems to have presented a better offer.
Frattesi scored 7 goals in 37 Serie A appearances last season for Sassuolo. He was also the suprise pick of Italy head coach Gianluca Mancini during the Nations League Final Four. Frattesi started against both Spain and the Netherlands. Against the latter, he scored once and assisted another goal for the Azzurri.
