Brahim Díaz set to return to Real Madrid from Milan

Attacking midfielder Brahim Díaz is now set to return to Real Madrid from Milan following the conclusion of his loan stint at the club.

The ex-Manchester City man joined Milan on a two-year loan deal in the summer of 2021 and while the stint wasn’t the most consistent one, he did manage to score some vital goals this past season.

Daniele Longo and several other outlets in Italy have now reported that the 23-year-old will return to Real Madrid, who are quite close to reaching an agreement over a new deal till the summer of 2027. His return to Real Madrid has been accelerated by Marco Asensio’s exit, with the Spaniard set to join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

The attacking midfielder is expected to be with Los Blancos’ squad during pre-season. Milan still have wishes to sign him permanently but they do not want to sign him for the fee that Real Madrid want. As a result, he will now return to his parent club and fight for a first team spot under Carlo Ancelotti.
