Premier League side Burnley are interested in landing the signature of Milan’s Divock Origi on deadline day.
According to a report by Sky Italia, Burnley have submitted an official proposal to Milan to secure the services of striker Divock Origi.Â
The Belgian was expected to fly to England today after his entourage had talks with Nottingham Forest and Burnley over a loan deal. The player would have flown there to take the final call on his future.Â
However, the Rossoneri are reluctant to accept the terms of the proposed offer as it does not cover a big portion of the salary. Unless a much-improved bid arrives within the next few hours, the Serie A side will block these negotiations to avoid a late deadline day breach in their squad.Â
The 28-year-old forward featured 36 times across all competitions for Milan last season, scoring two goals and assisting once. With a host of new signings this season, he is set to remain largely on the fringes in Stefano Pioli’s team.
