Premier League side Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić this summer.
Stefano Cieri of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Sergej Milinković-Savić’s agent Mateja Kezman has offered his client to Chelsea with the club becoming increasingly optimistic of getting their hands on the player. He remains one of the players that the London side are interested in.
The departures of Mateo Kovačić and Mason Mount have created a void in midfield for The Blues and the Serbian is an adequate profile to fill that up for the new season.
Chelsea are also considering the likes of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo but Milinković-Savić remains a better option who can add fuel and creativity to their midfield.
The 28-year-old has always been the centre of talk during the previous transfer windows but a departure from Lazio is expected soon as the Biancocelesti aren’t progressing about extending his contract which is set to expire at the end of next season.
