Premier League side Chelsea were in attendance to watch Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the Partenopei’s loss to Monza recently.
Il Mattino state that two members of the Chelsea scouting team were present at the game but they weren’t too impressed, as the Nigerian didn’t have a great game. But regardless of that, Premier League teams are already looking to move for the ex-Lille man, with Manchester United said to be leading the race.
United, it is reported, made contact with Aurelio de Laurentiis back in August last year. But Chelsea and even Newcastle United are also in the race for the Nigerian, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested. De Laurentiis has an excellent relationship with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, having sold him the likes of Fabian Ruiz, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
It is stated that even if De Laurentiis does look at a renewal, he will not break the salary caps that are placed on the side and he would only extend the deal. If a huge offers arrives for Osimhen, Napoli will sell him, with intermediaries already in action. They are the same intermediaries that have attracted United’s attention towards Kim Min-Jae.
