Cremonese boss Massimiliano Alvini’s future at risk

Judgement day is potentially incoming in Cremonese as following the side’s 2-0 defeat to Verona, Grigiorossi boss Massimiliano Alvini seems destined for a departure. This defeat was merely the latest in a long line, as Cremonese are currently winless and rock bottom of the Serie A.

Sky Italia have reported therefore that owner Giovanni Arvedi looks set to makes changes on the bench, with possible candidates for the replacement already being suggested.

A decision is expected to be made in the next hours and days on the coach’s future. Some possible replacements have been listed as Davide Ballardini, former Genoa coach, or Roberto D’Aversa, who has experience of managing in Serie A with Parma and he was at Sampdoria last season.

Alvini joined Cremonese in the summer and he had joined the Serie A newboys only a day after his exit from Perugia, who had finished eighth in Serie B last season.
