Juventus defender and captain Danilo has spoken regarding the humiliating loss his side received at the Maradona stadium to the hands of a rampant Napoli side.
Juventus were confident prior to the game having won eight consecutive games, with clean sheets too, and a win would have closed the gap to Napoli, making it just four, but instead they find themselves 10 points adrift.
However as we now know that wasn’t the case, with Napoli running over Juventus in a 5-1 win, speaking to DAZN, Danilo said:
“Their legs were moving faster than ours, that is true. Napoli are a very strong side when they have room to run at you and we should’ve been more intelligent in dealing with those situations.”
Danilo added that Juventus are always targeting the Scudetto, but right now they must just focus on getting back on track.
Juventus will continue their top four fight against close competitors Atalanta next Sunday in what has become a must win for the Old Lady.
