Eintracht Frankfurt fans cause chaos ahead of Champions League clash v Napoli

Eintracht Frankfurt fans have caused disturbances in the city of Naples, ahead of the German club’s Champions League Round of 16 second leg clash against the Partenopei.

Sky Italia claim that Eagles’ fans have put several cars and one police car on fire in Naples and the police in the area are now in riot gear. There has been talk of tensions between the fans of the two clubs, with hospitals in the area having been sent a letter by authorities about clashes that could occur between the two rival factions.

Emergency rooms have been alerted that due to the violence which can take place later, with the number of policeman deployed now increasing for protection.

It has been reported that Eintracht Frankfurt fans have settled in the area where the police is currently at, having destroyed shop windows.

The Partenopei had initially barred Eintracht Frankfurt fans from coming to the game in Naples due to the clashes between the two sides in the first leg. But the decision was later reversed.
