Exclusive | Leonardo Bonucci unlikely to leave Juventus this summer

Juventus veteran Leonardo Bonucci is unlikely to leave the Bianconeri this summer despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

Bonucci recently signed a new deal at Juve some months ago, assuring that he would not leave the club this summer. But in recent weeks, doubts have been cast about his future as it was recently reported that he is out of Max Allegri’s project at Juve.

But according to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News, it seems likely that the Italian will stay at the club for at least another season despite rumours in recent days suggesting otherwise.

There is confirmation that Sampdoria boss Andrea Pirlo did have a telephonic conversation with Bonucci but Samp is currently not an option for the veteran. While Newcastle United have also been linked with the 36-year-old, that move has been ruled out as well as the Italian looks close to staying at Juve.

Last season, Bonucci faced physical issues and could only play 16 times in the league.
