Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat keen on Barcelona move

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is keen on a move to Barcelona, with a meeting for talks already set at the end of the season.

Daniele Longo has reported that Xavi wants Amrabat at Barcelona at all costs, as he sees the Morocco international as the perfect replacement for Sergio Busquets. Amrabat has already made up his mind that he only wants to join the Catalan club and despite insistence from Liverpool in January, he has always seen Barcelona as his priority.

A meeting involving Amrabat’s agents, Barcelona and Fiorentina has been scheduled for the end of the season, with the Spanish side keen on satisfying the demands of the midfielder. Rocco Commisso is not looking to make any discounts in the sale, as he wants atleast €40 million to sell the ex-Verona midfielder. And he has made it clear that Amrabat will only leave if those conditions are met.

Barcelona had made attempts to sign Amrabat in January but Fiorentina refused to sell the player as they didn’t have enough time to sign a replacement.
