Inter boss Simone Inzaghi following win over Napoli: “I’m proud of my boys, it’s a pleasure to see them like this”

Following Inter’s impressive 1-0 victory over Napoli at the Stadio San Siro, Simone Inzaghi provided his insight on his team’s display within their home-ground.

A stunning header from the 34 year-old talisman Edin Dzeko followed by a marvellous delivery from Federico Dimarco reignited the Nerazzurri’s chances of winning the league-title, snapping Napoli’s lead to only a five point difference from second-place Milan.

With Inter stringing a fine run of form after successfully attaining three consecutive victories, it is very much possible that the Beneamata can secure the summit of the league within time as they are only three points short of the Rossonerri, whom are set to face Roma over the weekend.

While speaking to the media, as relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, Inzaghi touched upon his thoughts regarding the vital victory, which ended Napoli’s staggering unbeaten run and made sure that the gap between Napoli and Inter is now down to eight points only.

“Tonight’s is a great injection of confidence. I’m proud of my boys, it’s a pleasure to see them like this . We had a great race but we have to continue like this. We were imprecise in the first half, but the team was always focused on the pitch: it was a feat. Beating Napoli must give us great confidence for the future. In the league we lost points initially but it’s still a long way: we have to think match by match.”
