Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has stated his belief that their Champions League final opponents Manchester City are the best side in the world.
Inter went past Milan fairly easily in the semi-finals of the Champions League and have already won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana this season. City recently won the FA Cup by beating Manchester City in the final and won the Premier League as well.
As the Citizens play for a historic treble, Inzaghi spoke to Sky Italia before the game tomorrow and he believes that the Premier League winners are the best team in the world right now and Inter want to play in the best possible way in Istanbul tomorrow in the final.
โItโs a great feeling to be here. Weโre savoring what weโve done, we donโt want to stop and if weโre here weย want to play for the final in the best possible way. We all know City, itโs the strongest team in the world, but we are eleven against eleven. We have had a fantastic journey, we are here to play our cards.ย It will take a lot of heart and a lot of head.โ
Inter finished third in the Serie A table but for some weeks, it seemed as if they would finish outside the top four and reaching the Champions League final seemed like a far-fetched idea. Inzaghiโs side can be proud of themselves for how they turned things around.
