Inter consider Antonio Conte and Roberto De Zerbi to replace coach Simone Inzaghi

Inter board are considering at least four different options in the eventuality that coach Simone Inzaghi gets fired at the end of the season, La Gazzetta dello Sport report.

Antonio Conte is considered as the main favorite due to his past at the club, where he won the Scudetto in 2021. In order to convince the former Tottenham manager to rejoin the Nerazzurri, the club has to secure a Champions League spot first and the money that comes with it.

Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi is also considered one of the board’s favorites. He signed a four-year deal with the Seagulls but it has been reported that he also has a €13 million release clause.

Another solution could be Bologna’s coach Thiago Motta, who won the Treble with the Nerazzurri in 2010, while the club has already made contact with Mauricio Pochettino but the chances to see the Argentinian in Serie A are really low.

In case, Simone Inzaghi gets fired before the end of the season, it’s believed that none of them will be called and Primavera coach Cristian Chivu is likely be promoted until the end of the season.
