Inter deem Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as Plan-B if agreement for Lukaku is unattainable

Inter have deemed Ateltico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as their Plan-B  within the market in order to bolster their offensive reinforcements in the case that both Inter and Chelsea are unable to reach an agreement regarding the permanent departure of Romelu Lukaku.

Milan-based newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Nerazzurri are prepared to go head on with Italian giants Milan and Roma for the 30 year-old Spanish international in the event that Inter fail to reach accordance with the Premier League outfits.

As it stands, the London Blues are only interested in selling the Belgian international for a fee between €30m-€40m after having rejected the Benemata’s offer to extend the 30 year-old’s loan in Milan for an additional year for a fee of €7m.

Despite Saudi Arabia having made an approach for the prolific goal-scorer, Lukaku has made it crystal clear that he only wants to return to Inzaghi’s side within the market ahead of next season.

Inter are expected to submit an improved loan offer to Chelsea within the near future that will include an obligation to buy for a fee of €30m.

However, if Inter’s second approach is refused, the Nerazzurri will shift their focus on the former Juventus and Real Madrid as they could potentially acquire Morata for a transfer fee of €10m due to his contract coming up for renewal in the summer of 2024.
