Inter expect Romelu Lukaku to reject Milan

Inter are reportedly expecting striker Romelu Lukaku to reject advances from Milan.

According to a report by Andrea Ramazzotti of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are now counting on the will of Romelu Lukaku to negotiate a loan deal with the player’s parent club Chelsea.

Neighbourhood rivals Milan are set to have a huge financial boost this summer as the sale of Sandro Tonali is expected to exceed €80 million. The Rossoneri are eyeing up a permanent transfer for Lukaku and they will be in hot pursuit as soon as the transfer fee from Newcastle reaches their account.

The Nerazzurri practically have empty coffers and while they are vying for an additional year loan for the Belgian, Chelsea will be happy to sell him to balance their finances.

Simone Inzaghi’s club are now entirely relying on the 30-year-old’s will and are hoping that he will continue at Inter despite concrete advances from Milan.
