Inter identify alternatives to Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku

With Inter now having given up on the chase for Romelu Lukaku, the Nerazzurri have now identified potential replacements for the Belgian.

Matteo Barzaghi has reported about Inter’s plans to sign a new centre-forward, with the Lukaku chapter now closed. New profiles are being evaluated, as they continue to hunt an alternative to the Belgian. One name is that of Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun, who impressed in his loan stint at Reims last season.

Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are said to be a fan of the American’s profile and if they go for a younger striker, Balogun is the prime candidate.

But Inter are also looking at experienced options and that includes M’Bala Nzola, who performed well against them for Spezia last season. Another option is Mehdi Taremi, who has been linked with Milan. Alvaro Morata is also an option and he too has been linked with Milan and even Roma. The Rossoneri’s talks for Taremi are said to be progressing well.
