Inter in talks to extend Nicolo Barella’s contract

Serie A league leaders Inter are in talks to extend Nicolo Barella’s contract at the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the situation of Barella and his contract at the club. It is stated that talks between the two parties are on and it seems likely that the Italian will sign a new deal at the Nerazzurri early next week, with the spring period touted as a possibility.

It seems likely that Barella will earn as much as Lautaro Martinez does now. The midfielder is very happy at Inter, who in turn are very happy with his performances. In recent days, a meeting took place with the player’s agent Alessandro Beltrami and a second meeting will take place soon to make further progress. 

There is no hurry, but the parties don’t want too much time to pass. It is clear that Inter want to extend and it is highly likely that Barella will extend his deal till the summer of 2028.
