Serie A giants Inter are now keen on signing Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer, with André Onana inching close to a move to Manchester United.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that United are getting ever closer to finding an agreement with Inter for Onana and there is optimism that it can be reached by early next week. Inter already have plans for how to replace Onana and they want to sign an experienced goalkeeper and a younger stopper.
When it comes to experienced goalkeepers, Sommer’s candidacy has gained pace recently. Inter had previously tried to sign Sommer but he had then moved to Bayern Munich but his name is back in fashion at the Nerazzurri shortlist.
Anatoliy Trubin is the other name that Inter want and talks were held with Shakhtar Donetsk today. A fee of €10 million could be enough for Inter to sign the Ukrainian and Raffaele di Gennaro could become the club’s third-choice goalkeeper. Samir Handanovic, as a result, would leave.
