Inter make exploratory contact for West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca

Inter have recently made contact for West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, who has also been linked with a move to Roma.

Gianluigi Longari has reported that while Inter did make contact with the entourage of Alvaro Morata and remain interested in Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun, Scamacca’s profile also interests the Nerazzurri.

Exploratory contact has been made and Inter have spoken to West Ham about learning the potential conditions of a deal. A move could be made at a later time in the summer transfer window, with Inter having ascertained the player’s wishes about a future deal already.

Roma have already tried to sign the Italian this summer but the Hammers have not opened up to the possibility of letting the player leave on the Giallorossi’s terms. Scamacca did score for the side in a pre-season friendly against Tottenham but he has been the third-choice striker at the club under David Moyes, as he finds himself behind Danny Ings and Michail Antonio in the pecking order.
