Inter receives injury boost as Marko Arnautovic resumes training

All smiles for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi as Marko Arnautovic has resumed first-team action earlier today.

According to reports from Sky Italia, via Fcinter1908, the former Bologna marksman took part in this morningโ€™s group training session after having been on the sidelines for roughly two months after suffering a thigh injury in the Nerazzurriโ€™s 1-0 victory over Empoli.

As a result, the Austrian veteran is deemed available for the Beneamataโ€™s vital mid-week fixture in the Champions League where they are set to face Red Bull Salzburg in match-week four of the continental tournament.

Since joining Inter from Bologna in the summer transfer window, Arnautovic has failed to make a significant impact in the final third of the pitch as he only recorded a single assist in five fixtures across all competitions.

The 34-year-old marksman is eager to prove himself under the former Lazio boss as he faces stiff competition with four strikers available at Inzaghiโ€™s disposal heading into a crucial stage of the 2023/24 campaign.
