Inter’s links with Kylian Mbappe branded as a ‘joke’

Inter have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe but the rumours have been branded as a ‘joke’ by those close to the Nerazzurri.

FCInterNews have reported that while links about Mbappe have emerged from Europe, those at Viale della Liberazione are currently feeding on healthy realism and they believe that this news is nothing more than a ‘joke’ spread by PSG to create further confusion around the French striker and to avoid losing him in a year on a free transfer.

As things stand, Mbappe prefers staying at PSG for another season and he would like to join Real Madrid for free in the summer.

Inter do want a striker and Folarin Balogun is at the top of the shortlist. For Mikel Arteta, the striker is at the bottom of the pecking order for strikers and a deal worth €50 million to €55 million could be enough for Inter. As for Alvaro Morata, a move for the Spaniard has frozen as after an initial meeting, the parties haven’t met.
