Inter’s move for Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard remains complicated amidst Man Utd interest

Inter are looking at players to bolster their defence, after completing the signing of Marko Arnautovic from Bologna. Sky Sports Italy are reporting that Giorgio Scalvini is top of their list. The 19 year old from Atalanta started 29 league games last season, and caught a lot of attention with his performances.

The problem with this potential signing however, is the valuation that Atalanta have placed on him. Due to his potential, Atalanta see him as a significant asset, and have essentially priced Inter out of a move.

As a fallback option, the Nerazzurri are also looking at Benjamin Pavard amongst other options. The other potential players on the list are Trevoh Chalobah and Takehiro Tomiyasu. After the signing of Kim Min-Jae from Napoli, Pavard has been relegated to a rotation option for Bayer, and would not oppose a move away.

There are complications with this signing as well, and the issue is again with the price. Inter have deemed it high, but hope that they can negotiate it down and sign the Frenchman.
