Inter are set to increase their bid to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku after a few days of stalled talks.
According to a report by Filippo Conticello of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter and Chelsea have resumed talks recently and are working together to facilitate the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku to the former club.
The Nerazzurri’s first proposal of €30 million is not enough for The Blues and they are set to increase the offer to €35 million along with bonuses which would take the final fee to around €40 million, as asked by the London-based club.
Inter are expected to earn around €50 million from the sale of goalkeeper Andre Onana to Manchester United and that would provide them with the required financial capability to orchestrate a transfer for Lukaku.
The Belgian striker is keen to continue with the Coppa Italia champions from last season and his wish is set to be granted in the next few days as negotiations progress actively.
