Inter’s Simone Inzaghi hails Robin Gosens after Lecce win: “I’m enjoying him”

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi has hailed Robin Gosens after the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Lecce in Serie A.

Inter went back up to second in the Serie A table because of the compact win at the Meazza and came back to winning ways after their loss to Bologna in their previous league game.

Gosens had started the game and he did quite well for the side, impressing at left wing-back. Inzaghi spoke to the press after the win and Gosens performance and the Italian had a lot of praise for the German’s performance and his recent efforts in training for the club.

He stated: “Gosens has been convincing me for a long, long time. I’m really enjoying him in training. He’s satisfying me a lot more when he’s taking over. He did very well today but he was very good against Bologna as well.”

Gosens has not had the best of times during his time at Inter so far, but the wing-back has slowly picked up the rhythm for probably the first time since his move from Atalanta. He was linked with a move to Bayer Leverkusen back in January but the move didn’t go through. His revival could prove to be a real boost for Inter, especially considering the inconsistencies of Federico Dimarco.
