Ismael Bennacer set to sign new Milan contract

Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is set to sign a new deal at the Rossoneri, with the deal all but done.

Bennacer was linked with moves to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in recent months, but the ex-Arsenal youngster is now set to extend his stay at the Rossoneri.

Sky Italia state that there is now a general agreement between the two parties regarding the renewal and the player has given his approval to the new contract as well. The last few details are the only bits that need to be sorted out now and they are expected to be finalised on Sunday and Monday. This will be followed by the official announcement.

Bennacer will earn close to €4 million per season in the new deal and this will also include some bonuses. But the Algerian’s new deal will have the €50 million release clause that his previous deal also had.
