Jose Mourinho and Lazio owner Claudio Lotito to be investigated after Roma’s loss to Lazio

A quarrel broke out involving Roma manager Jose Mourinho and Lazio owner Claudio Lotito yesterday and the event could be investigated by authorities.

Roma lost the Derby della Capitale 1-0 yesterday but the scenes after the game turned ugly. Adam Marusic was sent off and Il Messaggero state that it wasn’t the only quarrel post-game. When the teams were exiting the dressing room and heading for their respective team buses after the game, Alessio Romagnoli and Gianluca Mancini were involved a verbal spat of their own.

Mancini is said to have called Romagnoli ‘a piece of sh**’ and Lotito tried to quell the spat. At that point, Mourinho arrived and asked Lotito: “What the f*** are you looking at?”

Lotito was left angry but the Lazio owner responded: “I am the president of Lazio and you are a guest. This is my home and I go wherever I like. And you can’t stay here.”

Salvatore Foti and Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi then intervened to stop the situation from escalating and Tiago Pinto had witnessed the incident as well. Not just him, but commissioners of the prosecutor’s office had also seen the event unfold and they managed to record everything that happened. An investigation into the event is now inevitable.
