Jose Mourinho hails Romelu Lukaku after win over Servette

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has hailed the positive impact of Romelu Lukaku after the club’s 4-0 win over Servette in the UEFA Europa League.

The Giallorossi rode on an early Lukaku goal and a brace from Andrea Belotti to make sure that they have won both of their Europa League group stage games, having previously beaten Sheriff in the first game of the competition.

Lukaku has been in some form for the Giallorossi and in six starts in recent weeks, he has now found the back of the net four times in all competitions and has shown his worth to the side, who haven’t had the best of seasons so far in the league.

After the win over Servette, Mourinho spoke to the press and he had praise for the Belgian. He said: “Even emotionally he is someone who has something to give. He has his experience and desire to win. He has a positive influence in the team at all levels. We are very happy to have him and after the result, we rested him for a while.”

Roma are currently second in their group right now, with Slavia Praha at the top of the table and both the sides take on each other in their next game in the group stages.
