Jose Mourinho seeking guarantees from Roma owners for stay at the club

Roma manager Jose Mourinho is now seeking some guarantees from the club’s owners in order to stay at the club beyond this season.

Mourinho did speak about his future after the Europa League loss to Sevilla last week and he stated that he and his players deserve more, indirectly asking for more support from the club’s owners and Tiago Pinto.

Sky Italia have reported that it is indeed what Mourinho wanted to convey. The last meeting between Mourinho and the Friedkins took place in December and there is a clear distance between the Friedkins and the Portuguese manager, who met the owners when the national team had come calling for him.

He has repeatedly wished for a meeting about his future but the Friedkins haven’t come forward. There are differing visions and Mourinho wants to win the Scudetto next season. But he wants investment in the side and certain other promises to achieve the goal. The Friedkins now have time till Sunday to sort out a meeting or they could be losing Mourinho sooner rather than later.
