Juventus at risk of points deduction in capital gains case

Juventus are now at risk of a nine point deduction in Serie A after a hearing was held for their capital gains case.

Juventus have been embroiled in the capital gains saga and the same applies for a host of other clubs such as Sampdoria, Empoli, Genoa, Parma, Pisa, Pescara, Pro Vercelli and the old Novara. The hearing in the Federal Court of Appeal of the FIGC has taken place today regarding the capital gains case.

Sky Italia claim that prosecutor Giuseppe Chine has asked for a points deduction of nine points for the Old Lady in the case and on top of that, suspensions for those involved in the case have also been recommended. Chine has recommended a 20 months and 10 day-long suspension for Fabio Paratici, 16 months for Andrea Agnelli, 12 months for Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti and Maurizio Arrivabene, 10 months and 20 days for Federico Cherubini.

The Court of Appeals will now decide whether to reopen the trial or not and if it decides to do that, decision will be made on the fines and suspensions.
