Juventus CEO Francesco Calvo on Dušan Vlahović: “He is not for sale”

Juventus CEO Francesco Calvo has stated that striker Dušan Vlahović is not for sale, despite all the rumours surrounding the Serbian striker’s future at the Bianconeri.

It was reported yesterday that Chelsea have made an offer to sign the ex-Fiorentina man but Sky Italia had later stated that Juve are ready to listen to Bayern Munich’s offer for the striker, with the German club set to make an attempt to sign him this summer.

Ahead of Juve’s league game against Empoli, Calvo was asked about Dušan Vlahović’s future and he iterated the the player is not for sale.

“The rumors are uncontrollable, but the market hasn’t started yet. Dusan is not for sale, we are satisfied with the commitment he puts in, then in life we can always do better.”

Vlahović has struggled under Max Allegri this season and the Serbian hasn’t scored as many goals as he would have liked. His numbers have dropped since he joined Juve, as he was more of a freescoring striker at Fiorentina. Considering all that, it would make sense for him to seek newer pastures and it is no surprise that the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with him.
