Juventus closing in on extending defender Danilo’s contract

With the transfer window quickly in-action, Juventus have intensified their negotiations as they are on the verge of closing-in on the extension of Brazilian defender Danilo.

Italian news outlet TuttoJuve reports that the Bianconeri have offered the 31 year-old a shor-term deal that is set to expire in the summer of 2024. With Danilo eager to remain in Turin, the deal should be completed within a very short amount of time.

So far this season, Danilo has peaked within a back-three under Allegri, playing an immense role within their seven consecutive clean-sheet run. The Brazilian has made 16 appearances thus far within the Serie A, accumulating 32 tackles and 21 interceptions.

Under Andrea Pirlo, the ex-Manchester City man played a variety of roles and proved vital in helping the Old Lady building from the back. He had joined the club in a swap deal involving Joao Cancelo.
