Juventus coach Max Allegri on Dusan Vlahovic: “I see him more serene, he’s better physically”

Ahead of Juventus‘ match against Empoli at the Stadio Carlo Castellani, coach Max Allegri spoke highly of Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic following his impressive displays thus far within the 2023/24 term.

Despite the 23 year-old being linked to an exit from the Old Lady throughout the summer market, Vlahovic has injected liveliness and creativity within Juventus’ attacking-play, causing havoc for the oppositions’ defences as he notched two goals and one assist within the opening two fixtures of the Serie A.

The Serb’s determination within the opening stages of the campaign has caught the eye of Allegri, as the Tuscan tactician has stated within the pre-match press conference, via TuttoMercatoWeb, that he is very pleased with Vlahovic’s performances on the pitch:

“I see him more serene, he’s better physically. Then the forwards are always better off when they score: he managed it in the first two games and, as I told you at the beginning of preparation, I think Vlahovic, who wasn’t well last year and scored 10-12 goals anyway, will score his goals.

“I am very serene about his season, as well as Federico Chiesa, Kean, Milik. It’s difficult, having one game a week and we have players who might not play for 2-3 weeks, but we have a common goal.”
