Juventus facing race against time in Romelu Lukaku move

Juventus are currently facing a race against time in their attempt to sign Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku, who has stopped being responsive to Inter.

Corriere della Sera confirm what was reported by Sky Italia yesterday – Lukaku has left Inter annoyed as his lawyer spoke to Juventus despite previous guarantees about the Nerazzurri switch. Juve are looking to offer a higher base fee than Inter to Chelsea.

Inter are also fuming at Lukaku’s lawyer Sebastien Ledure, because when Lukaku was intent on sealing the move to Inter, the lawyer spoke to Juve after offering the player to Milan. Juve have promised Lukaku that he will earn €12 million a season and that seems to be attracting the Belgian.

It is stated that mending this relationship will not be easy. There are suggestions that Lukaku isn’t happy with how much time Inter are taking to buy him but there are also suggestions that he is not happy with the fact that he was on the bench for the Champions League final.

But Juve need to sell Dušan Vlahović (to Paris Saint-Germain) to make their offer for Lukaku but PSG will look to close their move for the Serbian once they sell Hugo Ekitike. This is now a race against time.
