Serie A giants Juventus are interested in the possibility of signing Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips in January.
The Bianconeri are keen on landing a midfielder in the January transfer window, with both Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli out. The Italian is out for the season and Pogba is expected to be handed a ban of at least two years because of his involving in the doping case.
Sky Italia state that Cristiano Guintoli is already working to make sure that Juve sign a midfielder in the winter transfer window and some Premier League options are being explored. Two names are Tottenhamโs Pierre-Emile Hรธjbjerg and Arsenalโs Thomas Partey but Phillips is now also of interest.
Out of favour under Pep Guardiola since joining, Phillips is far from being a starter and that seems like an attractive situation for Juve. It remains to be seen if Guardiola would want to see Phillips leave mid-season, with Juve looking at an initial loan with the option to buy.ย
Partey is also of interest but his injury record is worrying and when it comes to the Dane Hรธjbjerg, Tottenhamโs asking price has long been expected to be a problem.
