Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado slams officiating after Bologna draw

Juventus veteran Juan Cuadrado had some harsh words to say after the Bianconeri were held to a 1-1 draw by Bologna on Sunday.

The Rossoblu had taken the lead early in the first half as Riccardo Orsolini sent home a spot-kick in the tenth minute. While Arek Milik had missed a spot-kick in the first half, he made up for it after scoring in the second half.

Contentious moments were always around the corner in the game and Cuadrado spoke to DAZN (via TMW) after the tie. He regretted that the Old Lady missed some chances but also gave his thoughts about the officiating and VAR usage in the draw.

“There’s a bit of regret, we created many chances, but in the end we weren’t lethal in the penalty area, there’s a bit of anger because at these levels the monitor can’t fail to work. It was a very clear foul, if you don’t go and look at it, you ruin the work we do on the pitch. There have been too many episodes about us.”

Because of Juve’s draw, the top four race is wide open once again. The gap between 2nd placed Lazio and 6th placed Roma is only four points. As many as three teams in the race are on 57 points and the race is getting tighter with every passing game.
