Juventus’ Matias Soule facing international dilemma between Italy and Argentina

Juventus and Frosinone star Matias Soule is facing a dilemma about which national team to pick, with both Argentina and Italy interested in the player.

Soule was loaned out to Frosinone in the summer and he has sparkled for Eusebio di Francesco’s side, but he will return to the Old Lady in the summer.

Carlo Laudisa has reported that in recent days, Luciano Spalletti has shown a keen interest in picking Soule for the national team and Soule’s entourage is now very much focused on deciding as to which national team he picks. Picking Italy would mean that Soule will miss out on the chance to play for Argentina and he will miss out on the chance to share the dressing room with his idol Lionel Messi.

Argentina are always keen on making sure that they have the best players who can represent Argentina with them and do not want to lose out on them.

Soule has been called up for Argentina twice but the regulations say that if a player hasn’t featured for a national team before he is 21, he can play for another side. Soule hasn’t played for the Albiceleste yet. Italy are keeping a close eye on him and that has been the case since 2021, when Roberto Mancini kept tabs on him.
