Juventus on the verge of signing Lille’s Timothy Weah

Juventus are now very close to sealing a move for Lille winger Timothy Weah, who will arrive at the Bianconeri on a permanent basis.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Juve now have a verbal agreement in place with Lille for Weah and they have agreed to pay €12 million. The decision is being made about the structure of the deal, with Juve having agreed to pay €12 millino for the American.

But there is yet to be certainty about the structure of the deal as Juve have two options in front of them. They could either pay the full fee or they could pay an initial €10 million and pay the bonuses of €2 million later. Positive contacts between the two clubs were held today and progress was made.

Juve see Weah as a younger option on the right and they still want an experienced player on the side. A move for the American does not rule out a move for Timothy Castagne, for whom talks have been held with Leicester City.
