Juventus return to third in Serie A table as appeal accepted

Juventus are set to get back 15 points in the Serie A table as their appeal against the points deduction has now been accepted but has been referred to the higher court for later judgement.

A statement released by CONI has confirmed that the Bianconeri’s appeal has been accepted for the time being, meaning that the 15 points deduction is not valid anymore. The club’s appeals were also made against the bans imposed on the likes of Fabio Paratici, Andrea Agnelli and Federico Cherubini and for now, the appeals for them have been rejected. But the appeals made against Pavel Nedved , Paolo Garimberti and Enrico Vellano have been accepted for the time being.

The FIGC court will look at the matter further and they will make a further judgement at some point in the next few weeks, after making a new individual evaluation of their own.

Paratici’s ban was later extended globally by FIFA and as of now, it seems as if it will be upheld.
